1991, without question is recognised as one of the great vintages of the Hunter Valley as it was an extreme drought year that resulted in low yields, and high quality fruit.  The Estate strives to attain low yields each vintage, combining this philosophy with a drought driven vintage, results in producing very intense flavoured wines. This is reflected in this extremely youthful Semillon.  The colour is rich gold; it has honey overtones, and is a well-rounded full flavoured soft, elegant wine that has developed like all sound Semillons should.  It is delightfully clean on the palate. This wine is a tribute to our wine maker as it has stood the test of time, and will continue to do so.
