1991 without question is recognised as one of the great vintages of the Hunter Valley as it was an extreme drought year that resulted in low yields, and high quality fruit.  The Estate strives to attain low yields each vintage, which, WHEN combining this philosophy with a drought driven vintage, results in producing very intense flavoured wines. This is reflected in this youthful Chardonnay.  It still retains an incredible amount of acid that will give it the backbone for further bottle maturation. It has the refreshing taste of biting into a fresh, crisp Granny Smith apple.  A joy to the palate.
